***MODELS WANTED***
At the moment I am pushing a new technique called 'Bokeh Panorma'* and I want to use the effect more with people. If you are interested in modelling for this experimental technique and having some unique looking portraits done then drop me a mail. You can see some examples I have done so far here.

* What is a 'Bokeh Panorama'?: It is a technique where a shallow depth of field lens is used (wide open). A set of images are taken (like a panoramic scene but close to the subject) and they are stitched together to simulate a wide lens with extremely shallow depth of field. It gives a rather three dimensional feel to the image with great subject isolation and dreamy backgrounds.

A camera & lens to get this effect in one shot would either be astronomically large / heavy / expensive or just physically impossible.

About my photography
The best way I can describe my photography is experimental. The reason why I am drawn to it so much is all the potential it has for different techniques, effects and shooting styles.

Cameras
Currently I mostly shoot with a DSLR and a couple of prime lenses but I have gone through a lot of different equipment from pin hole cameras to dedicated digital infrared. I have a habit of funding new toys by selling old ones which I soon miss and often regret, I will try to cut that out. Some of my most notable lost loves are:

● Hasselblad 500c/m & 80mm Planar T*
● Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 AF-S
● Canon 50mm f/1.2 L
● Canon 40D (converted to IR only)

I had good reasons for selling / swapping those at the time but I often wish I still had them. Here is list of some of the things I would like to have (or a play with):

● Mamiya C330 + 80mm f/2.8
● Mamiya 645 + 80mm f/1.9
● Fuji GX617
● Nikon D700 - converted to IR only
● Nikkor 24mm f/1.4
● Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 AF-S
● Nikkor 58mm f/1.2 NOCT
● Nikkor 200mm f/2
● Nikkor 300mm f/2

Projects (In Progress or Planned)
Here are some projects I would like to play with regarding photography. Some I have already started and some need some more equipment before I get going.

● Lens Blur - Making shallow depth of field with masks and Photoshop filters.
● Tutorial Book - Bokeh Panoramas (In progress - Blurb)
● Time Lapse - night / tilt-shift
● New Infrared conversion - combination of IR with Bokeh Panoramas / Time Lapse
● ... more to come

"I can't remember what the first photograph was that I saw from Edd, but I know he inspired me to learn more about photography. He made some beautiful street shots the time he lived in Amsterdam, which shows Amsterdam the way it should be shown! He is also the one that made me experience bokeh panoramic photography.

And last but not least, he loves to shoot film, which I think is really great besides digital! We should have a Mamiya walk some day mate! ;)"

Enthusiastically embracing analogue and digital mediums and techniques, he explores a myriad of styles; from portraits to landscapes, abstracts to street, whatever he does is of top-notch creative and technical caliber. Although he has delved deeper into this craft than most, Edd still continues to be open, curious, and eager to help and share with others in the Flickr community – surely, a sign of a true artist."

Edd did me the honor of making me one of his contacts and I appreciate a lot his professional opinion (although he doesn't like the word "professional"). He has the special ability to capture the essence of every day's life and he captures details that make his pictures awesome. His photos breath with life. I always wait for new fresh stuff from Edd as his pictures spark ideas that make me improve myself. It is always a pleasure to surf through your fantastic pieces of art, Edd. Keep on posting and thx a lot for all your comments and suggestions about cameras, professional:)"

"Edd fa coses impressionants. Té un bon coneixement tècnic però, en la meva opinió, el millor de tot és la seva imaginació. La metodologia s’aprèn, però no pas la virtut, i per a mi aquesta és la seva millor qualitat. He vist gairebé totes les seves fotos i no m’importa mirar-me-les detingudament un cop, un altre més, i un altre si fa falta. És un plaer! Si pogués, ficaria un gran “favorit” a tota la seva pàgina.
Amb tota la meva admiració, Edd
