I was born in Adelaide and still live in glorious South Australia. I have lived in London,Bristol, Nottingham, Derbyshire and part time in Staithes, North Yorkshire.
My ancestors came from Stanton Drew and Saltaire so I am particularly interested in photos from these places and from other places I have connections with.
I have used a variety of cameras in my life, mainly Pentax and have just bought a Canon eos after seeing the great results on Flickr.I'm happy to see that what I thought were some of my more quirky subjects such as rust, dilapidated sheds, rocks etc have a home on Flickr and have other enthusiasts.
I am a textile artist, designing and stitching tapestries, which I sell as bags, belts, pictures, pincushions,cushions and other domestic items.
I also enjoy watercolours, acrylics, H2O's, pastels, gel pens, make collages and am addicted to ATC's. I'll attempt anything arty crafty.
My inspiration comes from the beautiful place I live in and from a memory bank full of images stored away over time.
I admire the work of William Morris, Kaffe Fassett, Laura Knight, the South Australian Impressionists and many other artists, textile designers and craftspeople.
