Thanks for stopping by to have a look at my photos, stranger!

At the moment, I am going through my old negatives and slides and scan them in order to build up a catalogue of my photographic deeds. And whenever I come across something I really like, I put it up here at flickr. This is the reason why in my photo stream, old and new photos are completely mixed up.

I'm shooting b&w since 1991 using the Minolta Dynax (now Sony Alpha) system and various, mostly fixed focus, lenses. Now and then, I also used the medium format YashicaMat 124G. I have got my own b&w lab.

Since 2004, I have also started to shoot digital (Canon Powershot S50). In the end of 2005, I got myself a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D, in 2008 a Sony Alpha 700. And since then, I am completely hooked with digital photography (a DSLR is soo much better than just a digital point & shoot) and haven't really used a single roll of film anymore. Sad but true.

Since my kids are born, I haven't got so much time left for artsy photography - I mostly take pictures of my little ones now, which I won't show here.

Since the beginning of 2011, I have made my dream come true and took the step up to full frame DSLR: I am enjoying the Sony Alpha 850 very much. Now finally the viewfinder has the size of the film Dynax cameras again, and all my old lenses got back their original focal length.

I'm 39.
