Launched in January 2003, Dyno-Comp is a privately-owned Scottsdale Arizona-based performance tuning and accessories business, catering to the luxury automotive and sports car enthusiasts. Company founder Richard Garcia created Dyno-Comp to be “Scottsdale’s premier destination” for those looking to get more out of their automotive purchase. The full service facility is situated within 5,000 square feet of showroom/installation/performance tuning space in North Scottsdale’s Airpark district. The showroom boasts a sampling of Dyno-Comp’s superior products while a wall-mounted plasma display treats visitors to videos specific do Dyno-Comp’s industry. Huge glass windows in the showroom looks out over the garage’s bright blue epoxy floor. In this garage sits Arizona’s only all wheel dynamometer where Garcia and his team can measure horsepower and torque by simulating real driving conditions while monitoring air/fuel ratio, exhaust gas temperature, boost levels, intake temperature, and other critical parameters. The dynamometer is able to handle up to 800 horse power in the front or rear wheels and up to 1600 plus to all four wheels. Garcia feels it’s important to utilize an all wheel dynamometer because of the influx of all wheel high performance vehicles such as the Porsche 996 twin turbo, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-8 and Audis.
Dyno-Comp offers a full service menu of products, tuning, and whatever else a car owner can dream up. Superchargers, turbo chargers, performance software, high-flow intake systems, performance suspension, breaks, aerodynamics, complete wheel and tire packages, body kits (Mercedes, Land Rover and etc.) and custom computer reprogramming (ECU). The facility has computer upgrades for just about every European car manufacturer, including Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Bentley, Ferrari, Mini, Subaru, Lamborghini and Volkswagen.
