I first became interested in photography in high School, I took a single class as an elective and was at once hooked, that summer I scrounged $200 and built my own dark room in my basement and fell more in love with the lens with each passing year. the fact that photography is an art form and yet has a mechanical and scientific component at the same time thrills me to no end.

The age of digital photography brings a new joy to my soul, it combines my other passion: computers. now I can capture an image and share it with the rest of the world almost instantaneously.

I found Flickr back in the beginning of 2007 but did not muster up the courage to share my work with the world until the end of the year, after joining as a member I discovered so much more then I expected, rather then just browsing through streams, I became an active part of this community and that opened me up to work and artists that I might not have encountered otherwise. What I saw inspired me in ways I could not have imagined, shortly after joining I took the plunge and opened up my own studio, I continue to learn and gain inspiration every day I am here and I hope that inspiration will only help improve my personal work.

I discovered photography a long time ago but I didn’t realize how dormant a part of my life it had become, I didn’t realize how much I was missing. I am no longer just interested in photography, I am a part of it, interacting with it on a daily basis and it has made me feel alive in a way that I can not fully describe.
