I never really know how to start these things, or if anybody even reads it, but here goes.

ABOUT MY HOBBIES

Obviously from my photostream you can tell my main passion are dolls and doll photography. I have always liked dolls, ever since I was a child. I am an adult now, who should know better, but I have never quite grown up. Truthfully I hope I never do. My doll of choice is an asian fashion doll popular in Japan called 'Pullip'. Pullips have unrealistic sized heads on 1/6 bodies, and I adore them. I also collect Momoko dolls and Pinky St vinyl figures. I love everything that is visual eye-candy, and pop-culture cute.

ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY

My father was a very good amateur photographer. Before he emigrated to Australia, he had his own camera store. He's gone now, and I miss him. But taking pics of dolls really ignited a spark for photography in me, and since then I've been really interested in it. I have all of my Dad's old SLRs (they are pre-digital) and I have been saving for a Nikon DSLR so I can use all his old lenses, since they are backwards compatible. Something about photography really helps me connect to my Dad, even though I don't know if he'd quite get the doll hobby thing. This year, (2011) I'm hoping to take more varied photos, share more photos, and have more fun with my photography.

ABOUT ME

I'm female, despite the nickname sounding like it's for a guy, (it's slang for 'toilet'! but has no connection to me or my disposition, really!) and I'm over 20. I'd give you an age but I'm getting to the age where it's really starting to bug me to think about how old I really am. xD Ugh. I love to surround myself in beautiful things that make me happy, colors, bling, and bubblegum pop. I am not arty for the sake of being so-- I don't care about art. I care about creating what I like and what I enjoy, and in sharing my creations, bringing some of that enjoyment to others. ♥
