Despite initially being self taught in photography I am currently in my final year furthering my studies at the Winchester School of Art.

For those who are patient enough to stop and listen to the world, beauty can be found in any subject. It my objective as a photographer to look beneath the obvious and be patient enough to let those moments flow before my eyes.

Almost subconsciously I aim my photography towards portraying a sense of neglect and isolation, but equally a sense of independence and authority. In this respect my photography is not so much be a narrative concerning my subject, but an analysis of my own identity.

The world around us is made up of a vast amount of subjects, but for me the most contrasting and interesting are the people. We are each unique, and combined with the limitless imagination of the photographer the possibilities can be endless and very exciting.

For this reason I have become very ambitious in deciding to now dedicate my work towards fashion and portraiture, whilst incorporating my own identity and heightening the bar of creativity.

Before my decision to re-enter education I had only been exposed to digital photography. One of the advantages of the course has been the opportunity and facilities to appreciate analogue photography, from 35mm through to 4x5inch large format.

Critisism from Flickr will help me to build up the technical & design skills to pursue my aspirations both for my professional and personal development.
