Hello my name is: Derek
I started photographing when I was a young child using a disposable camera and loved it! When I was a freshman in college and with a part time job I was able to use an old Canon AE-1 35mm SLR and purchase a few more lenses to shoot with. With that camera in hand and a few photography classes down the road I started shooting subjects that I associated with most, skateboarding and action/extreme sports mainly, plus other subjects that I found interesting or at least attempted to make them interesting in an artistic style through a lens.
