I am a full time Professional Photographer that is who and what I am, it has been a dream to be one for longer than many of my models have been alive.
I am a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art. I was a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada but money got tight and I am not all about Weddings.

No I did not just buy a camera, and say I am pro like so many others; I know what I am doing. Been doing it a long time and to me photoshop is a tool, a camera is a tool, great photographers see beauty, pain, social injustice, war, sport, love, hate, hunger, death, and capture it, they do not make it in photoshop. That is a different art form! No less respected, just not photography. Yes that is my opinion and it is the only bit of cockiness I have, I am very easy going normally, I just can't stand people who think they are great photographers and can't prove it.

I started shooting film in the 60's {Ya that makes me on the old side but numbers mean nothing except to mathematicians and money men}, and have in time owned some of the best and greatest cameras man has ever made so don't think just because the camera you have, is the best in your mind, that I will ever agree with you, please just remember that tool thing.

As the tools go, boy I have had a lot, I started with a kodak 110 {who didn’t} I bought my first SLR with my own money by the time I was 18. An Olympus OM-10 it started a love affair with Oly for going on 30 years now but alas they seem to be turning their back on we loyal fans. In my time I have had over 50 cameras including Leicas, Linhofs, Mamiyas, Nikons but never a Canon in the lot and guess what I have now that is right a Canon. Two canons to be exact, a 1d MK III and a 5D MK II. But they are tools for the vision and that is all they will ever be {but I am falling in love} ….. Except my Mamiya RZ 67 pro II sold the kit a while back and I will for ever miss it and my OM-3 the baby that I never had.

I have been shooting for pay for almost 30 years with fashion, art nude, macro and landscape being my fortes. I am always trying new things so I do not become stagnated in any one type of photography. Just can't see myself doing the same stuff day after day, did that when I was married. Got rid of that mess and I will never get in to that kind of boring existence again.

I love a great model {every and any thing for the shot}
I love a great camera {tough, great glass, and reliable}
I love a great view {nature has so many things to offer our eyes we just have to take the time to see them}
I love a good Hamburger but the fries are always right behind
Rarely drink any thing more powerful than pop but I won't refuse a scotch or a beer!
Cars are the most important machine next to my camera, there is nothing like combining a great model, a great car, and a great camera and I am in heaven.
