I'm a happily married mother of 2. my daughters are Amber and Cheyenne. i am an artist and a crafter.also a poet, though i haven't shared that much lately. i love to read. i love to learn everything i can about whatever new craft i'm interested in at the time, but polymer clay is really my niche! i'm in a few clubs online, but none in rl. i'm very friendly, and often a peacemaker, but i'm kinda shy sometimes. i never ever watch the news. most things on the news are bad. i cry easily. i don't know why. if you have my email address, i prefer not to get chain letters, unless they will make me smile. most of my interests are in the realm of crafting, but i also love celestial themes, dragonflies, fireflies, butterflies, fairies, asian themes, old or foreign coins, trunks and interesting boxes, and cookie or pumpkin pie scented candles. i love flavored coffees and teas. hot cocoa, and spiced cider. i especially love loose teas!! but i rarely get them. some day i'd like to try flowering teas. i'm not fond of black licorice, but my newest favorite tea is yogi's licorice mint? (i know it had licorice, just not sure about the mint. ). my favorite alcoholic beverage is navan, straight up in a brandy snifter. after that, lambrusco, or mojitos! i love mojitos!

adding my swapbot profile, for my new club: Favorite Crafts
ok, if you're about to read this, be warned: i'm like a river, in that i ramble on, around corners, and under bridges... and when you read my profile, it takes along trip to only go a short distance. if i was capable of staying on topic or making it more organized i would... take some aspirin, get some coffee, and proceed:

1) polymer clay 2)polymer clay.... 3)acrylic painting, 4) polymer clay(are we seeing a pattern here? ;) ) 5) rubberstamping, 6)decoupage, 7)jewelry making... 8) just about everything else, in some way...and a wish for my crafts: i really want to try cernit polymer clay in the future, but it's hard to come by in the us. some places ship it here, butit'll be awhile before i can get any. i would LOVE some cernit!.... for some reason winter always seems to be about crocheting and knifting(that's not a typo. i can't knit. takes too long. not enough patience... but i love my knifty knitter). my latest thing seems to be crocheting purses, but i've made so many i'm going to have to etsy them. i just don't have enough people on my christmas list who like using purses. but, it'll probably be another week (though i hope not) before i can start selling on etsy. i have to get my bills caught up first...i'm mostly doing yarn crafts because over the last month, while my hubby had to go 3 states away for 2 weeks, i lost my craft table, 3 feet deep under a bunch of everythings! i'm sorry to those i've gotten behind with. i know you know who u are, because i think i've pm'd u. if i missed you, please pm me! i'd hate to leave you behind!!! only 1 is a regular swap, and there aren't many others, but just in case....

Favorite Television
lost, kyle xy, oh, and inuyasha(dvds).I wish firefly hadn't been cancelled... everything else is just blues clues and dora for my kids...

Favorite Music
Mostly Cristian harder rock, like tait, anberlin, and kutless. but i also like nickelback... (I know, wierd combo...)oh, and Rich Mullins! I LOVE Rich Mullins!!

Favorite Books
the scarlet pimpernel, by baroness orczy(apparently baroness emma orczy wrote several other novels, some even sequels to the scarlett pimpernel. i have yet to come across one, but expect i would love it if i ever did!!!), a girl of the limberlost, by gene straton porter, many mysteries, especially cat ones(though, as a general rule, i have NO interest in cats... bad experiences), anything by john kovalic(I'm not a gamer, but my hubby is, so it's hilarious), any ANYTHING/EVERYTHING that is about polymer clay!!!and everything about altered art! I can look at books on altered books for hours, getting ideas, seeing things i missed. I just love that.

Favorite Movies
the passion, the man who knew too little, ever after, crouching tiger, hidden dragon, serenity, braveheart, good will hunting, and a few others i can't think of...

About Me
I am a mother of 2 gorgeous little girls, married... I LOVE to craft!! and I do most crafts, in one way or another, but polymer clay is my passion. and i've discovered you can use most every craft with polymer clay in some way. I love the word, "love." (as well as love itself). I once wrote the word over and over, in as many different ways i could alter my handwriting, and discovered you can't make that word not beautiful. I have no pets. i have always loved animals, but have decided i will probably never have another pet. I love to write, but will probably never join a creative writing swap, because i never share what i've written with anyone i'm not very close too, until about 6 months after I've written it, because it's too new, and close to my heart. I already own most of my favorite things in my lists, except craft books, but wrote them out so there's something about me here for my partners. I love to rollerblade, but rarely get a chance to. if you check out my photobucket, make sure you look at the mirror. it's the best thing i ever made. (because i do not consider my children something i made, but people i helped bring about.... and am hopefully guiding the right way....)I love anything celestial thats not astrology... (the dislike of astrology is partly because of my religion, and partly because of my dislike of being both a crab and a disease, even though the disease was named later...) and I love the night sky, even though twilight is my favorite part of the day, especially in summer. I love fantasy. and, even at age 28, i kinda still beleive in fairies, especially in twilight during summer. I also love dragonflies. and find poetry in many things in life.remember,YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH STARS, MOONS, AND SUNS!!! i love a large variety of themes and color combos. vintage, victorian, lacey, flowery, all nature. i love leaves in all colors, even orange! i love velvetyty fabrics, and anything that when you touch it is so soft as to make you want to rub it on your face.

my girls
Amber is 3 1/2, and cheyenne is 1 1/2. Amber loves anything she can play creatively with, she loves to act out stories.cheyenne loves toys that nest. and musical things. Cheyenne loves to dance! They both love diego, dora, and blue, including blues room. and they love the backyardigans. and they love books, amber for the stories, and cheyenne loves pictures and flipping pages, so sturdy is good. both are very picky, so any recipes tried with kids, especially picky ones are very good! o, and veggie tales!

collections, flavors and fragr
I collect crafts, and most craft items! I also collect storage stuff, especially all sizes and kinds of trunks! and, my newest collection is empty, undecorated altoid tins!! although, i guess that would fit into favorite craft items... any kind or flavor(it's going to get covered anyway. and it doesn't have to be altoids. little tea tins, or other mint tins, basically any very small tin. if it's too small to hold a batch of cookies or fudge, i love it! [though i have been wanting to try an altoids big tin, sold only once a year. i've got a great idea how to decorate it.] but anyway...). I enjoy making them pretty. i do not often get to display fragile items, because cheyenne loves to climb. I love anything travel based, like old map motifs, and anything paris related. i would love to go there someday, to sit in a cafe, visit the eiffle tower, and the louvre! I love art. I think my 2 favorite paintings are van gogh's starry night, and picasso's mother and child(which is very different than most picassos.)i used to love thomas kinkade, but after having worked in a gallery full or it, and seeing it everywhere i turn, i'm not that fond of it anymore, with the exception of twilight cottage. my newest, and therefore smallest collection is dragonflies. I love fairies, but havent really started collecting them yet... i dont know why. and castles. my favorite colors are blue, black, dark purple, deep mauve, blue toned greens, and chocolate brown. i prefer silver over gold, in most cases. i've never been fond of orange, but lately i've been really into the brown aged look, that is kinda orangish. like the old maps, or the stuff in a great many altered books. like the colors on the book: altered art, by terry taylor. I love that book!! I like milk and white chocolate, but not dark. I like most fruity flavors, except banana. I love chai, and flavored coffees. i wont drink unflavored coffee. I also like teas and spiced cider. i tried coldbrewed pumpkin spice flavored coffee, and i think it's my favorite. i dont know how one goes about brewing cold brew coffee, or where one buys it, but i love it! my favorite regular flavors of coffee are fudge and creme brulee. i dont like hazelnut or vanilla flavored coffee(unless mixed with something else), but i love vanilla in everything else. I love chai!I've never met a chai I did'nt like. I am diabetic, but I don't like anything sugar free, except soda. I figure if i'm going to have a treat, I'll find a way to fit it into my meal plan. sugar free knock offs, just aren't as good! I love cheese! fragrances, i love lavender, vanilla, and jasmine. my favorite perfume is skin musk. i don't like sandalwood anything, except sauves new bodywash, sandalwood cinnamon. I love cinnamon!

I'ved collected elephants for years. all of the fragile ones i've had to put away in boxes, because my kids would break them.if anyone wants to make me something with a theme i absolutely love, elephants are as good as celestial things. i kinda stopped collecting them awhile back, because of the kids, but doggone it, i'm starting up again!

dislikes
I don't like any of the following: dark chocolate, chamomile tea(although chammomile is very good with other flavors! i tried a chomomile apple tea recently, and it's become a favorite!) , unflavored coffee, blood and gore, anything horror, plastic beads(mind you, these are loose beads. if you make me something that has plastic beads, i will love it as much as if they were glass, because you made it for me!), or anything that combines peanut butter and chocolate. (no bakes don't count. don't know why... maybe because it's cocoa, not real chocolate. i love no bakes... i've got an awesome recipe! but it's too hard to share, because none of the measurements are exact... sigh..)i wont even kiss my hubby after he's eaten a reases, until the smell is off his breath!! and I DON'T like sculpey III. darn stuff is waaay too brittle after baking. too many broken projects. i like alot of sculpey brand stuff, but not that! i also dont like anything halloween related. and i dislike the word 'shrine' if you send me a shrine, just call it something else to me. (altered filled box, memorial, etc...) tarot cards. i think they are very pretty, but i will never willingly own any, for reasons of beleifs.

also, i never, never, never watch the news, so i'm not particularly interested in newspapers, except the comics. comics are awesome!

i'm also very particular about chapsticks/lip balms. probably better to just avoid these entirely.

wishlist, or other things i li
i'm really into ephemera, older books with browning pages, clock images, and victorian style picture. old postcards ive heard you can get from antique stores really cheap, though i haven't yet had a chance to investigate that. old stamps. stuff from other countries. i would adore books and letters written in some language besides english, but if you write it, please send a translation too, so i have some idea what youre talking about...lol. in fact, i would absolutely LOVE that!!! and altoids tins! i keep running out. i bought 50 of the gum ones on ebay, but i only have about 15 left. and i really want the other sizes. but, please use eat the altoids first. i love the tins, but dislike the origional contents :( also, keys... images of keys, key charms, skeleton keys. just dont send your car keys... kinda hard to drive it without them... ;) rubber stamps, mounted or not. i can always use more. poetry books. i love poetry books, especially used ones. older books have character. and if i dont like the poetry, i can always alter the book! i also have trouble with the notion of paying full price for a new book. (but if you want to send a new book, i won't complain. i will still love it. i'll just let it develop character with me.) and polymercafe magazine is my favorite...(i know that comes as no surprise, since to get to this part of my profile, you've probably read the rest..) journals. i love journals. especially any with celestial or travel themes, or feather pens. i love images of quill pens. ive never own one, and dont know what i'd do with it if i had one, but i love seeing them. they are sooooo beautiful! o, and kokopeli!!! i dont know why, but i love kokopeli! and i don't actually own anything kokopeli, since i used the charm that was the only thing i had on a gift for someone last christmas. i would love a snoodle (see veggie tales a snoodle's tale. just don't google the word snoodle without veggie tales shudder) i havent found that they sell anything of the kind, except the movie or coloring book. i'd really love a stuffy or amigurimi of one. again, it has to be vegie tales style, not the urban definition...shudders again and i love music notes and images of instruments. if you're looking for an easy but beutiful theme to make something for me, music notes are great! a music note hole punch and some sheet music, and youve got a collage i'm sure to love!if i join a swap that involves sending a coffee mug, i LOVE large, and even huge mugs!!! but, just so you know, i'm easy to please, so if you bought your mug early, i'll love it regardless of size! ooo, i've always wanted a velvety craft quilt pillow!i remember a swap once, where you take a journal, bought, or handmade, and put writing prompts every few pages. i love to write, but rarely sit and do it anymore. i think i'd love to get a journal that prompts me to write, and dream! maybe with a little art on random pages(even just a doodle. i've been known to journal on the art on the cover of a journal...[incidentally, when that journal ran out, i bought another just like it. it was dark blus, with a lady playing..i think it was a lute, in front of an open window at night... beautiful!]) i would ADORE something like that!!
