Dr. Rev. Diva is no stranger to challenges. She has struggled through tremendous odds, endured life as a battered woman and survived the mental and financial anguish of a single parent on welfare. Born an American citizen in Madrid, Spain, Diva grew up in Fort Worth, TX under parents with high ideals and astute business savvy.

While attending the University of Houston, she studied Graphic Communications and Business Technology, until her father was killed in a horrible car accident during her junior year. Quitting college in her senior year, 9 hours shy of graduation, would later prove to be an almost 20 year battle of grief, depression and self-doubt over the loss of her father, placing severe strain on her relationship with her mother. 14 years later she found herself entrenched in various sales oriented positions from car sales to real estate before embarking on the high-risk investment arena and becoming an Investment Banker.

While holding a position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a business acquisition firm in Irvine, CA, she watched in disbelief as the city of Los Angeles went up in flames after the announcement of the verdict of the Rodney King trail. She immediately resigned her post and established the National Alliance of Black Entrepreneurs in June 1992 sharing business principles, resources and networking opportunities with minorities and women, encouraging them to start a business or expand an existing venture.

In December 1993, less than a year from conception, Diva received national acclaim for the National Alliance of Black Entrepreneurs in Entrepreneur Magazine. This gave rise to a plethora of media with features in The Los Angeles Times, The Orange County Register, The Daily Bulletin, The Chicago Tribune, The Irvine World News, The Orange County News Channel, The Los Angeles Sentinel, The Los Angeles Wave and various radio and television broadcast.

She then developed a business manual and seminar entitled ‘Vital Keys for Business Survival’, created a national minority business newsletter entitled ‘Focus on Minority Business’, lectured and counseled with women on welfare, developed alliances with Fortune 500 Corporations, developed programs with banking institutions to reduce loan criteria for minorities, held procurement instructional courses for responding to minority RFPs in conjunction with Walt Disney’s MBE director, and developed a seminar entitled ‘A Cultural Time Capsule, How Our Ancestors Were Exploited for Their Entrepreneurial Talents’.

Dr. Diva has been a guest speaker at various career trade shows and speaks to diverse groups challenging them to take charge of their own lives. Diva holds a PhD in Metaphysical Pastoral Counseling and is an ordained Minister. Dr. Rev. Diva has established ‘Empowering Word of Truth Ministries’ to empower people to overcome poverty for wealth, failure for success, and dependence for independence so they can live the lives Spirit created them to live. She is the CEO & Executive Producer of Diva Universal Entertainment, and uses her unique empowerment techniques in non-traditional arenas such as modeling and entertainment.
