Background is PhD in Biochemistry but now working in patent law. I have been involved in conservation and birdwatching since I was a young lad. I got seriously into photography when I moved to Japan in 2005. I am back in Ireland since 2008 and have travelled extensively around my country taking photos of wildlife and the beautiful countryside.

Since moving back to Ireland, I have published two books with my photographs, "Shorebird of Ireland" (Collins Press, 2009) and "Freshwater Birds of Ireland" (Collins Press, 2011) with Jim Wilson.
