I love....
my wife and kids
music and art
beautiful things
healthy skepticism
laughter
laying down a funky bassline
the kiss of the Leica shutter
open mindedness
engineering
the thrill of roaming the streets, camera in hand
the wonderful Flickr community
I dislike...
television
closed mindedness
houses full of cats and shag carpeting
blind allegiance
SUVs
the feel of clay pots and cardboard
that crazy clamshell packaging that causes insane frustration and bloodied hands
Really, I'm normal.... this profile just makes me look odd!
I've been taking photographs for several years now. I enjoy street, candids and landscapes. The vast majority of my work is shot on film and scanned.
Since I've already bored you to tears with the ramblings above, I'll spare you the agony of listing off my numerous cameras, lenses, scanners, and all the other technical nonsense.

lenscapon says:
"I truely enjoy Ty's work and ability to make simple and humble subject matter compelling and interesting. Ty has a great sense of composition and I admire his knack for the right DOF for the right image. Ty's street shot are notable and really capture a glimpse of real people and places. There is a definite style to his work yet he is not afraid to experiment and evolve."

.Andi. says:
"Ty is a true master of photography. A wise man of his craft at that.
His ability to capture a variety of subjects and make them intriguing to the eye is just one of the many things to admire about his work.
Shooting with a variety of cameras, he enables one to see different perspectives of the world through each photograph he takes.
His pictures of the elderly warm my heart, and his street photography in general is absolutely brilliant."21st July, 2008
