In October of 2005 I lost power for two weeks because of the Hurricane that passed through Miami, I needed internet access so I started going to the library downtown. I noticed a lot of attractive, if a bit disheveled, young men panhandling and selling all kinds of things around the Cultural Center which is where the library is located. I started talking to them and inviting them to have lunch with me. One day I bought a disposable camera and took a few photos to add to my hurricane photos. I eventually bought a digital camera and continued to take photos of my new friends. In April of 2007 I started uploading some of these photos on Flickr. Comments and constructive criticism are very welcome. I am way over 18.

Phillip capture these images everyday in Angel, Omar and Cano! Very deep and beautiful photos of a hard life where death is very real!
