Photography is in my blood..both sides of my family. Ever since I was a tiny child, I loved handling a camera; and my father loved putting a camera in my hands. I began with disposable film, then worked my way through cheap film cameras. By the time I was 14 or so, my passion was obvious; so my dad bought me a canon slr. After a couple years, my uncle (mom's side) gave me a cheap digital point and shoot camera, and pushed me into the digital world.

In 2009 I splurged and spent my tax refund on the Canon Rebel xsi (450d). That is currently my main camera.
After mastering the basics on film, and utilizing a lot of trial and error in digital editing, I'm finally feeling that I should start a career in photography. I will be looking at schools shortly.

Although I've lived in Cincinnati, Ohio since birth, and been in the same house for over 20 years, my dream job would be some sort of traveling photographer. I want to experience interesting and exotic animals up close, in their natural habitat, and capture their unique lifestyles in everlasting images. Until then, I do most of my animal photography at the Cincinnati zoo, or in the local woods.
When the weather is poor, or my mood is right, I also do a lot of experimental still photography. Most of it consists of abstract macro or some simple lightbox work.
