I'm a 40-something guy who is getting back into photography... I started with an Olympus OM-2 kit back in junior high school, and even won a couple of awards way back then. (I'll have to post those photos sometime.)
I was prompted to get back into photography by a birthday gift from my wife; in 2006, she gave me tickets to the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montreal. F1 racing has been a passion for years, and I couldn't imagine going to a race without an SLR camera. So, I bought myself the gift of a Nikon D40, and rekindled my old hobby. We also had the chance in the fall of 2007 to return to Peru, and I had a great time taking photos there. You can see more about that trip on my Mac Med Peru 2007 blog: www.MacMedPeru2007.blogspot.com.
My wife surprised me with a D300 for my birthday in 2008.
I'm now offering my work for Events and Senior Portraits.
