When I change the way I look at things
the things I look at change

This, or some variation of this, has guided me through some major changes in my life. Whenever I've gotten too comfortable in my own skin - aka - lazy - photography gets me off my duff, out of the house, and back into life again.

Instead of dreading the various personal interactions throughout the day, photography has begun to teach me that there are so many "photo-ops" out there and now I actually look forward to going out and exploring.

I'm still most comfortable with natural settings, but in a city with over a million people, it's hard not to have some opportunities for portraits, street photography, whatever.
