I live in Silicon Valley and have degree in agriculture. It's like being the snowplow driver in Miami. In life, you never really know what will happen and, in the end, I became a textile artist.

I love to make quilts, so I always have at least one in progress. I have had quilts in both exhibits and juried shows. I also love batik, which is a lot messier. Quilters, do not laugh! Believe me! Several of my batiks have been awarded prizes. I even dabbled a bit with cloth dolls enough to win a 3rd in the state fair.

One thing that I made for myself was a saddlepad for my horse, Janow. The store bought ones are so boring! It was tricky, I messed around with it for years! But I did it. People liked them and I started making them to sell.

Because I love batik, I wanted to figure out a way to batik the pads. They are comming along very well. Expect the new batik pads to be available before the Holidays!

The nitty gritty dirt: I am a middle aged SAHM and every day is my lucky day.

she is a bun of few words, but she gets her point across

The cats, mary Shelley and Whiskers, the hen Paula, and Janow do not blog.
