My love of glass began with collecting coloured bottles.It never occurred to me to explore it as a medium until a friend (dear friend, business partner, roommates while attending Sheridan College for Interior Design) suggested we take a course in stained glass construction. I was in my early 20s then....I'm not anymore.
I still remember the first day of that stained glass class. I was intimidated and thought there was no way I could do what I was witnessing the advanced class doing. I was wrong, it was easy! I made suncatchers and was so thrilled. Soon enough, I was sticking left over glass pieces to furniture, then vases, and now, well, pretty much everything I see is evaluated as to how well it would take a mosaic.
If I could spend my days any way I wished, I'd be creating what I fancied at the moment then give it away to the first person to admire it.
