Sadly, every 13 minutes another name is added to that list and each day 18 people die waiting for a transplant. However, only 53 percent of Washington and Montana licensed drivers and ID card holders have committed themselves to donation by registering to be donors– leaving the donor shortage a leading public health crisis.
