My name is Dominic Kamp and I'm a student of finance based in London, UK. I was born in Germany and moved to England after I graduated from High School in Switzerland.

I don't do photography for a long time - I discovered it as my hobby in August 2007, just around the time I arrived here at flickr. Being here for nearly two years now, I can say that I've found many great friends and seen huge amounts of brilliant photos.

In August 2007 I started with a Nikon D80 DSLR and the regular 18-135mm kit lens. Being used to compact or bridge cameras I was blown away by the quality of the pictures. The first lens upgrade I bought was a Sigma 10-20mm wide zoom which until today, is my favorite lens.
Christmas 2007 I received my Nikon D300. I love this camera due to many reasons like its weather- and nearly bullet-proof body, the speedy menu, its excellent low-light capabilities or the simply breathtaking high-res display. I plan on upgrading to a new camera though which will either be the Nikon D700x or the newly released Nikon D3s.
