I'm a total hack of a photographer, but have fun anyway. In my wildest dreams, I grow to become a cross between Frans Lanting and kk+.

In the meantime, I'm slowly learning. I'm working on developing my photographic frontal lobe, rather than being Phineas Gage with a camera. I'm trying to think ahead, compose before pulling the trigger, and only keeping a fraction of what I shoot. And only posting a fraction of that to Flickr.

I'm shooting almost exclusively with a Canon Digital Rebel XT with 50mm f/1.8, kit lens, and a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 USM Mark II (but am saving up for a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM and a 10-22mm wide angle. My other camera (Fujifilm E510) is currently quite neglected, having been only rarely picked up since I got the XT. Sorry, little Fujifilm.

The camera doesn't make a photographer any better (kk+ shoots a bunch of his with a cell phone camera), but having better tools makes the process more fun.
