I post photos here for others to see. I take my photography both seriously (perhaps too seriously) and, yet, not seriously enough. It's a conundrum, but I'm OK with that.

Everything I first learned about taking photos I learned from two women: my mother, who took photos constantly and seriously, and first put a camera in my hand before I was out of short pants, and Bernadette O'Brien, who was a model teacher, giving in equal measure instruction, responsibility, and encouragement. If you see a poor photo here (and you probably will), it's my fault, not theirs.
