I have a love of the outdoors founded on many holidays as a child spent tramping around the peaks of Scotland and England, I retain a deep fondness and respect for the natural world and it's ability to awe and still the mind.

I dearly miss the hills of my early years, thanks to Flickr and generous Flickrites I'm regularly reminded of their beauty - so near and yet so far. I'm now surrounded by the splendour and scale and drama of Australia.

I seem to have started collecting old Olympus kit to see if it works on modern Micro 4/3 cameras. I try to avoid this distracting desire to collect things and get back to collecting pictures.

Todays magical ingredients, in order of priority are:
- A desire to see and willingness to experiment.
- An interested, patient and supportive partner
- Curiosity, Imagination, Fascination, Passion
- Some bits to catch, manipulate and re-present light.
