For some, design is in the blood. It’s a thing they cannot escape. They take in their surroundings, process them, and allow the results to spill over into every aspect of their life. Where most might see a dreary landscape void of beauty and meaning, the designer sees untapped potential; something with a prospective snazziness. Angel Acevedo, known to some as DJ Soundwav, is a designer/deejay based out of Miami. A graduate of Miami International University and Art Director at Onyx Group, Angel combines words, symbols, and images in a way that brings color and mystery to the seemingly mundane. His ability to capture and manipulate a scene is uncanny. And he just might be the only person you’ll ever meet who thinks paper is downright sexy. A well regarded radio personality, Angel is also the founder of Radio Revolution FM, a web based music station which combines a Top 40 format with clever commercial programming and electronic mixes by DJ’s from around the world.
