For me, photography is a passion and a way of looking at the world. But it's a fairly recent passion. It started six years ago when I purchased a point and shoot, primarily for use in illustrating music reviews and other write-ups I contributed to a couple blogs. But gradually the photography bug took hold and I purchased a Nikon D40x in January 2008. In September 2009, I sold the D40x and a couple lenses to a fellow Boston Flickrite (Enjoy the camera Isaiah!) and upgraded to a Nikon D90. I recently purchased a fantastic new camera, the Olympus Pen EP-3 -- a micro four thirds camera for a smaller, lighter alternative to my D90 when I'm traveling or just out-and-about on a daily basis.

My photography focuses on both the natural and urban environment -- on wildlife and architecture, rural landscapes and urban skylines, flowers and industrial machinery. I've also covered and photographed jazz, hip hop and indie rock shows.

I'm constantly amazed by the quality, imagination, and creativity of the photography on Flickr. It's a source of inspiration, eye opening information, and fun.
