Actually, my wife Liz and I are both sharing this esoteric screen name, which is the catalogue name of the fourth nearest star system to the Sun after Alpha Centauri, Barnard's Star, and Wolf 359. Although close, you cannot see it with the unaided eye.

Thanks to all to have commented and/or fave'd our images - it is nearly impossible to thank you all individually. And thank you for sharing your photos with us. We learn through you (sometimes enviously!) as we are drawn to your most compelling photographic compositions.

Please note that we tend to avoid groups that mandate which photos we must comment on (rules such as "comment on the two photos to the right of yours"). Since comments contribute to the interestingness factor, robotic commenting defeats the judging process. In short, we will not be forced to comment on photos that are not interesting.

We also tend to avoid disproportionate rules like "post 1, fave and comment on 13" (I'm exaggerating, but you see the point?). Not to worry - if your group has interesting photos aplenty without us having to pore through 15 pages to find one, we will fave and comment beyond the minimum until the cows come home!

We have attempted to title, describe and geotag every photo we post so as to answer some basic questions as "What is that?" or "Where was that shot taken?". We think it is a good habit that everyone should use to enhance their photostream. There are just too many photos out there with boring titles like IMG_0405 (there are 38,737 photos tagged with that name, but a few are quite interesting!). And most of them do not provide any information to enhance the experience. Also, if you have many nearly-identical photos of the same subject, try to post only the best one.

Please do not use any of our photographs without our approval. All posted photos have been watermarked. Also, we only upload ~1MB copies of our photos, so even the "original" size on Flickr is in almost all cases not the best quality image that we have to offer.

Also notice (this part may sound mundane) that all of our titles start with a number. This is just our own catalogue number that helps identify which folder the photo came from on our 1TB external hard drive. In addition, the # helps us tell which photos Liz took (an L after the group # [before the hyphen] or individual slide # [after the hyphen] are her's; the rest are mine). Some photos are actually a collaborative effort. For instance, I might enhance a photo that Liz took. If an enhancement is significant and is not replacing the original, then a small case letter appears after the slide #. I swear there will be no quiz on this.
