Disney-Grandpa's photostream  

To begin with … Thank You for visiting my Photostream. I truly hope you enjoyed it .
I am a 61 year old male who has enjoyed photography as a hobby for over 40 years. I began with a 35mm film SLR and processed all my own stuff, but that was very time consuming and I ended up just sending my film to Walmart for processing. It was very unsatisfying until the “Digital Revolution” arrived.
I now use a Nikon D-40 with several lenses and have finally been able to take all the photos I wanted and not worry about the expense. I have already taken over 10000 photos with my Nikon and am beginning to wonder when it is going to wear out !!! LOL
I have chosen Disneyland for my Photostream because it is the one place that I have gone that I have always had fun and wonderful experiences. Also because they have such WONDERFUL cast members there !!
My first visit to Disneyland was during the first week it was open. I can still remember the excitement of riding down Main Street in the horse drawn carriage and seeing the Hippos on the Jungle boat ride. I have been to “The Happiest Place on Earth” more times than I can count and have finally become an annual passholder.
As you view my photo stream you will notice that my stream is a little different than most. My emphasis is on the “face characters”. While ALL the cast members work their tails off, You don’t get many different expressions or emotions from Mickey, Minnie, or Goofy ! The large majority of my photos are “CANDIDS“ of the Princesses and other “face” characters. I try to take very few “Posed” shots. They always seem to stiff ! So as a result I guess I kind of stalk everyone for their photos. I’m usually shooting over a fence, thru a bush, or standing off to the side of the line waiting for portraits with the characters. I’m sure they all think I’m kind of strange !! LOL
I’ve made several friends on Flickr and truly enjoy their comments and their photos. Its amazing the quality of photos that you can find on Flickr !!
I try not to post any photos that may be embarrassing or disliked by the cast members or anyone else. If I post a photo that you don’t like, just email me and I will remove it !!
Feel free to download any of my photos for your personal use, just don’t use them for commercial reasons or without giving me credit for them !
Well once again, Thank you for viewing my Photostream and I hope you find something that will make you smile !! I admit to being an amateur and am open to any suggestions. This is just a hobby to me so I don’t take it too seriously.
