The name "Disco Suicide" dates back a couple of years, when I found a now very rare vinyl record by an electro-producer/band/whatever from Berlin named "Extra". The record was a 45 called "Disco Tel Aviv" and had the refrain "disco, disco, saturday night - the Tel Aviv Disco Suicide", followed by the line "Zieh' dein rotes Kleid an wenn wir heute Nacht in die Luft geh'n" ("Put on your red dress as we're going to blow up tonight"). Pretty sick stuff, but it got me thinking about how all the glamour can be destroyed at the blink of an eye. Just like that. There is a saying that the higher you fly the deeper you fall - which makes the disco suicide the ultimate attack on Western society. For me it is a metaphor for how fragile all the things that seem important to us in one moment can be gone in the very next. It's a modern Carpe Diem if you will...

Now a little about me.
I have a camera with me at all times and I don't hesitate to use it. You can basically divide my pictures in either of two categories: my life and cars.

"my life" means the life of me Johannes, my wife Carrie and our wonderful little son Vito. I myself am a car mechanic's apprentice at a Jaguar and Land-Rover dealership in Germany. The past few years have been extremely busy for us:

2007 our own appartment
2008 engagement
2009 wedding
2010 pregnancy & Vito's birth

All caught on camera - and a lot more to come over the next few years. Witness us building our dream :-)
