The most of my pictures tell something about the area where I live: in the city, near the port and in the Dutch river delta.
I'm one of the lucky ones living 2.1 meters below sea level in a polder and my dry feet depends from the proper working of watermanagement, a specialty of The Netherlands.

Times are changing. Slowly I try to explore more fields of photography.. It's a big experiment. If you like my photos, please leave a comment note or fave. If you dislike a photo, mail me why it is so bad.



The port of Rotterdam is a very good place to see things which are a little unusual:
all sorts of working vessels for building at sea or offshore oil and gas industry, big harbour tugs assisting 1000 feet-plus tankers bulk carriers and container vessels, interconnected petrochemical industry, inland shipping of goods in large barges. Not the ordinary .. only uniqueness size and quantity matters.

Another field of interest are all things related to roads and navigatable waters, especially where they cross or are managed: bridges tunnels flyovers locks barriers dams signaling..

Last but not least I like to spend my outbound holidays in the Scandinavian countries, far away from the crowd, drowning in the beauty of nature and enjoying the silence.
My buddy icon is taken at a boiling hot volcanic spring in Iceland.
