Being an Italian in North Carolina gives me a perspective on the world that I would have never thought before.
I am exploring everything around me one step at a time and photography is a wonderful and unique way of capturing the flow of time and of emotions.
Light, colors, shapes, expressions: it's all about them.

"I read all the testimonials and then my eyes starting hurting because they are so long, and then I forgot what I was going to say. Then I realized the others have pretty much said it all.

Massimo is an Italian stallion, at least that's what he says. Flickrmail me if you want to know his REAL nickname."

    abbyladybug says:

"Massimo is an intentional and thoughtful photographer. He seeks out the beauty in the world, then uses his natural artistic intuition and his extensive technical understanding of photography to capture that beauty for all of use to enjoy. He is one of those lifelong learners you hear about who never misses a chance to learn more about how to perfect his craft. Each image he shares is nearly perfect, with enormous attention to detail, but there is also a consistently emotional side to his photographs. You never look at them and think, “Yeah, technically good, but it leaves me flat.” Quite the opposite. His images fly off the screen and invite you in, captivating and embracing you every time. While landscapes are his specialty, I’ve been particularly impressed by his occasional departures into portraits and city scenes. I noticed his pictures long before I actually met him, and I was beyond pleasantly surprised to find that not only is he a wonderful photographer, he is also delightful, playful, and bright man who I am now happy to call my friend."

"Combing through Massimo's images, talking with him at meetups, and working with him on projects has taught me what a wonderful photographer and person he is. He has an extrodinary eye for composition and color, and a near limitless enthusiasm that rubs off on you. It's one thing to say that I think he's one of the finest photographers I know, I'd also say that he's one of the finest people I've met.

And you should see how the ladies flock to him when he's in the hot tub.... :)"

"Massimo is a very talented photographer. His pictures always inspire me. No need for me to say how great of his photos. If you are reading this testimonial, you know what I mean.

He is a great teacher as well. I often asked him questions, and he always replied me with great answers. He is one great person =)"

    Sgt. Gooch says:

"Massimo, or 'The Italian Stallion' as the ladies like to say, is one excellent photographer. This is true even though he does have a decided advantage with his NIKON D200, one of the greatest cameras ever invented. Massimo always has a smile on his face, and has more chest hair than a wooly mammoth. I know, because I once shared a hot tub with him and 3 other guys. At least that's what I'm told; I have blocked that day out of my memory."

"To the newcomer in the Raleigh Flickr group that I am, Massimo appears to be one of the mainstays of the existing group. He contributes some apparent qualities that I would value in any group.. participation, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, willingness to have fun, willingness to Give fun, generosity with insights and information, intelligent, willingness to be a photo subject, willingness to tackle new subjects, a fine wimp-free humility...
Then there's one other key that serves a creative group well - curiosity. He will patiently follow possibilities as he perceives them, offer the results for constructive feedback and receive it gracefully in the spirit of learning to make his already successful images even better.
Massimo packs all this in a stylish quiet elegance that is reflected in his easy to 'get' and visually rich photos.
Welcome to my hometown, Massimo... we're fortunate to have you here."
