He seeks out the beauty in the world, then uses his natural artistic intuition and his extensive technical understanding of photography to capture that beauty for all of use to enjoy. He is one of those lifelong learners you hear about who never misses a chance to learn more about how to perfect his craft. Each image he shares is nearly perfect, with enormous attention to detail, but there is also a consistently emotional side to his photographs. You never look at them and think, “Yeah, technically good, but it leaves me flat.” Quite the opposite. His images fly off the screen and invite you in, captivating and embracing you every time. While landscapes are his specialty, I’ve been particularly impressed by his occasional departures into portraits and city scenes. This is true even though he does have a decided advantage with his NIKON D200, one of the greatest cameras ever invented. Massimo always has a smile on his face, and has more chest hair than a wooly mammoth. I know, because I once shared a hot tub with him and 3 other guys.
