Although I'm not a professional photographer by trade, I have been pursuing my passion for photography for the past 7years, seriously for the past 3 years. At first I enjoyed photographing landscapes and the natural world. Until this past summer of 2001, when I purchased a Leica M6. Ever since this is the only camera I use as of to date
Ever since I bought the Leica M6 It has changed the way I Photograph completely. Besides the fact that you almost have to relearn how to photograph when you switch from an automatic SLR to a Leica M. It automatically slows you down. One has to make sure you have the proper F stop and shutter speeds set, the films ISO setting at the right setting. Then when you look thru the viewfinder you'll see the frame lines for the corresponding lens that is mounted on the camera. Boy this is way different and slower than my Nikon F5. But you now what? Since I've been shooting with the M6 and carrying just 2 lenses, It has forced me to shoot with a different style. No longer do I carry a wide angle zoom and a telephoto lens plus flash.
The Images I'll be posting Here will be Images of my Day-to-Day travels. I carry my Leica where ever I go.
Do You have any formal education in Photography?
The only formal education I have is in the field of Architecture. although, I have been a voracious reader. In the beginning when shooting nature and Landscapes I followed the works of Art Wolfe, Frans Lanting and John Shaw. At the present time, I've been shooting more black and whites, and following the works of Sebastio Salgado and Henri Cartier Bresson.
