Someone once questioned if I was apprehensive people
would stop having their picture taken by photographers,
as most everyone now owns a digital camera. The
answer is no. Snapshots are wonderful and everyone
should take multitudes. Still, nothing replaces the
grandeur of having a portrait taken. The experience
remains something extraordinary - an interaction that
makes one feel celebrated.

When focusing on portraiture, I'm torn between the
artifice of glamour photography and the gritty reality
of photojournalism. My images lean towards the
editorial, always saturated with my personal style.

My approach is at times unconventional, but often so
is my clientele. Each a different personality. They
run full spectrum from performance artist, to
political figures, to families. My goal is to capture
individuality and character in an instant for perpetuity.
