I have been interested in photography for years, but only recently have been working on building my portfolio. My preferred subjects are babies and children, pets, nature and unique (preferably decaying!) structures.

I like to use photography as a way to meditate. I find nothing keeps me "in the moment" better and longer than looking through my view finder at a dragonfly or a dahlia! I'm constantly trying to find new inspiration, whether it's visiting an art gallery, viewing other photographers' work or standing perfectly still on a nature trail and taking a moment to look at every detail around me.

My goal is to (in the very near future) have my nature photographs shown in local galleries and begin professionally taking portraits of children, pets, vintage and classic automobiles, etc.
