GENERAL

Here on flicker I'm pursuing artistic photography, photography in general, historic and scenic photography, antique photos, railroads and family-oriented nudism/naturism.

But I'm also using Flickr as a backup repository of large groups of photos meant for particular people and groups, and as a means for them to view and download them. I'm doing this for old family photos that I'm scanning in and sharing with my relatives, and for organizations for whom I've done photoshoots. These are all private, visible only to those groups.

EQUIPMENT

I shoot primarily with a Pentax K200D. Occasionally I use an iPhone or the built-in cameras on my Macs. I shot most of my older photos from back in the film era with my venerable old Pentax K1000, which I still have and love.


CONTRIBUTING, FRIENDS AND CONTACTS

Flickr is all about contributing and sharing pictures. I won't list you as a Friend if you are just a collector - no pictures of your own to share, no profile, no buddy icon, but lots of contacts and favorites.

I mark people as Contacts or Friends if I want to follow the photos they're posting. (I use the Family category for old family picture to share with my relatives only.) I know how important it is for you to get feedback. So, it is my policy that, every day, I will, at the very least, look at every photo that my Contacts and Friends post. I won't necessarily comment on them all, but at least I'll look at them. In order to keep up with this effort, I have to keep the total number of my Contacts/Friends down to a manageable level. Right now I have 206 Contacts and Friends, and I'm having a hard time keeping up with them. So, periodically I have to delete some. If I do delete you, please don't take it personally since all it means is that I got overloaded and just couldn't keep up with everyone.

I don't like to block people, and virtually never do. If I don't like someone's photostream, I'll just ignore it. "Live and let live" is my motto. You'd have to be doing something really bad for me to block you, such as stealing pictures.


NUDISM/NATURISM

My wife and I have lived the traditional, family-oriented nudist lifestyle for over 30 years. Every summer we live in our cottage at a nudist resort. My documentary nudist pictures here celebrate that lifestyle as we've lived it over the years, and all are private, for Friends only. I will only post them to nudist-related groups that screen all new members.

Family-oriented nudism is not about sex. My nudist pictures here are certainly not pornographic. My wife and I do not have any interest at all in swinging, and I will not add you as a Friend if that's your agenda.
