Buy my art

I am hoping to get better at this fantastic hobby, I really enjoy it but it does lead to downer moments when one realizes that there are still many skills to be learnt.

Hope you enjoy my photostream.

Bought my first DSLR in March 2008 and have not stopped having fun. Looking at the sites of the Flickr members who post high quality material is my motivation.

I am originally from South Africa but now live in Edinburgh so try to make use of the wonderful countryside around Edinburgh as much as possible.

Scotland is a photographers (amateurs and professional) paradise, it is so beautiful and judging from some of the photographs on Flickr there are many high calibre photographers in Scotland. One has to aim high to even get remotely close to some of them.

I keep my contact list low, so please don't be insulted if I do not respond in kind to new contact notifications in flickrmail.

Here are some Flickr members photostreams that I really enjoy...

I have spent a serious amount of money on photographic equipment so I now have to make this work, will be interesting, as another Flickr member Raymond Larose says, ''The journey is the reward.'' I wholeheartedly agree.

If you favourite any of my photographs and you have no profile image and no photographs in you photostream I will block you with no hesitation... ( this is normally the sites of people who steal others photographs...)

I do not really regard myself in the league to sell my photographs but I do know that some people take from Flickr without the owners permission so I have to state this:

Copyright for all photos belong to me.
Please do not copy, use, reproduce, publish or distribute without my permission. If you would like to buy or use my work, contact me and I'm sure we can arrange something.

"In the time since I met Peter on the banks of loch Lomond, I have followed his work with an interest and seen quite a rapid transition to a very accomplished photographer who not only conveys the beauty of Scotland in his work, but in a short period has recognised the importance of the ever changing light and atmosphere in his compositions... producing some beautiful photographs in the process... keep it up Peter"
