Denton Reads' photostream

Denton Reads is an organization whose goal is to unite the City of Denton by reading one book and promoting discussions of a common text.

The program is held on an annual basis for a month of events and book discussions surrounding a particular theme. The theme chosen for 2007 was "Denton Reads... about the environment."

Denton Reads events have been coordinated by Denton-area librarians to create a community-wide event. Participating institutions include the University of North Texas Libraries, Texas Woman's University Libraries, Denton Public Libraries, and the Denton Independent School District.
