I am a semi-retired freelance photographer based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama (a suburb of Birmingham).

I'm also very involved in community activities serving on the Vestavia Hills Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the Alabama State Board of Examiners for Assisted Living Administrators.

After years of being the man behind the political curtain, I'm setting out on a new adventure in 2012 ... I'm running for the Vestavia Hills City Council! If you live in Vestavia Hills, I NEED YOUR VOTE ON AUGUST 28, 2012!

I still accept photo assignments if the subject matter and potential clients interest me. Over the years I've photographed sports (several awards), news, editorials, advertisements, architectural (interior and exterior), nature (another award-winning side), artwork, scientific, and most recently, all types of dance.

My photos have been published in over 1,000 magazines, books, and no one knows how many web sites.

Hope you enjoy my photos. The ones I post here are deliberately LOWER-res images. They might make a decent print if you copied them ... providing, of course, that you don't want anything bigger than a postage stamp for a print.
