50 plus years, monogamous male of large proportions - or so I'm told. Reads anything from Cornflake packet to James Joyce. Born, raised and worked in Yorkshire but heart is in Scotland. My outlook on life changes completely on the A74 north at Ecclefechan - the Scotland thing started on the Clyde steamers in 1968, developed in the Cairngorms in the 1970's and has made me very happy since 2002 when I explored the northern wilderness and settled on a retirement plan for a house on the north coast. Some people get their thrills through drugs, drink or bungee jumping. I get a buzz out of scenery and wild weather. I don't have many dislikes but I HATE Wasabi having been one of the poor ignorant minority who have mistaken it for guacamole and paid the full penalty.

My handle Harry Willis was 'given' to me by a mate at work in 1975. He looked at my signature on a stock transfer document and said 'that's not your name - that says Harry Willis.' It stuck because at the time there was a lager advert on TV where some bloke called Harry Willis got a ghostly, echoing 'call' to go and have a drink. Harreeee Willlllisss was the call. My life ambition is to publish a novel - guess which name will be on the cover.
