Describe myself? Hmm... I'm a Mom of all trades... or wait, would that be Jack?... I'm still figuring that out.

Thus far, my tangled educational paths (Criminal Justice/Nursing/IT) have led to a few aspiring careers, but more often, simply to strange & wonderful unrelated places, like meine liebe Deutschland, where as a military wife, my prior experience emptying bedpans qualified me to put my hand in people's mouths & so began my stint as an orthodontic assistant for DOD. --I've been many different-hat-wearing characters throughout the years - from aspiring poetess/DEA agent & elementary school bus driver to Glamor Shots photographer to divorced single mom & disability advocate to surgical dental assistant to wife & mother of 2 amazing little people and lots of stuff in between...

More importantly, what have I learned? 1) god is a sadist & has a wicked sense of humor; I therefore laugh a lot at warped things & no longer plan anything; 2) everyone has issues, most of us are screwed-up, & there is no such thing as "normal"; 3) forget the army -- being a mother is the toughest job you'll ever love (refer to # 1), and 4) Special People are born into this world, not to be tested, but to serve as a litmus for the rest of us...

And sadly, I must continue to wonder why we all just can't get along?

I've always been involved in the arts of some sort, primarily creative writing. Having small, active high-maintenance feral children leaves little time (or peace & quiet) to write but lots of great opportunities for photographs. --Never did master film though digital photography & post-processing quickly became my new creative fix.

I am firmly rooted in the Nikon camp. ;-)
