I come from Northern California.
I go to art school in Portland, OR.
I've been taking photos since I was a tiny tot with a drugstore disposable.
I'm self-conscious about the inconsistent nature of my creative drive.
The word "inspiration" makes me uncomfortable.
I shoot characters, mainly.

"As one of the few people dropping a testimonial that has the blessing of knowing her outside the computer, I can seriously say that I have watched her grow from the days of cell-phone camera amateurness to full-blown fancy-shmancy professional-like photographer. Lydia has a mind-blowing ability to capture the very essence of her subjects in every portrait and although they're shot studio-style, I have never witnessed A SINGAL SHOT of hers that looked forced or fake. All of her pictures are pro and make me a jealous fellow photographer, but her portraits are what I always look forward to and believe will get her uber rich and famous one day. She's a crazy creative perfectionist photographer genius, and Hannah Dooley has NOTHING on her ass, or any other teen I've met claiming to be a "photographer". "okay okay... i am SUPER giddy that i got to writing dee one of these before she (and this is not me pressing her to do so, nor me assuming she will / would... this is just me saying what i am saying... so read on and exit this parentetical area already) were to write a testimonial for me... because it would have SERIOUSLY made me sad if she DID write one for me and then in ANY way, form or shape (see how i mixed those up? yeah savor the flavor of THAT nonsense... ) (oh.. do you also like how i capitalize words? it is for emphasis. imagine i am saying those words with a LITTLE more oomph, k?) think that i was writing mine to her simply out of some feeling of obligation or some sort of silliness like that. (do you also like how many parenthetical areas i create that make it more difficult for my normal stream of consciousness to flow?)

dee is all kinds of awesome. it is as if my brain is plymouth rock and it is just all boring over here on its shores and she loaded up a boat of her skill and talent and way of seeing things and then she just came right over and claimed the HECK out of my previously boring, but NOW inspired brain-organ (the brain is an organ, right?). okay, so maybe i am not boring... but she is inspirational as all get out and one of the coolest people i know (or do not know... hmmmm... ) on this flickr place.

i am sure she MAYBE gets tired of hearing this, but her skill goes WAAAAY beyond her years. i often comPLETELY (yes... i talk like that, don't you? like a multi-syllable word will sometimes get emphasized in full and other times, just a PIECE of it does? yep... dig it) forget how old, or young, she IS and then i am dazzled and amazed all over again at how much she has learned and how far she can and should and WILL go (please do NOT NOT NOT give up on your talent, dee!!!) in the world of photography.

a stream i do NOT take for granted. i am happy EVERY time that she posts something. no joke."

"I've been following Rudedee's work since she was 3. No wait, that can't be right. But it does feel a bit impossible to reconcile her work with her age. She has an amazing - amazing! - eye for photography and the skills to capture what she wants. I am so jealous you can't imagine. I have spent hours trying to mimic her style, the lighting, the angle. I don't have enough lifetime to figure it all out and it would be futile anyway. Rudedee has a gift and she's found it at such an early age i can't imagine what great art the world has yet to look forward to. Remember the name."
