I paint in Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil, and most recently Pastel.

I work primarily from photos, either singles or composites. In the Summer, I can be found out on location in Plein Air.

I began to paint in 2005 and it's become a huge passion ever since. Since my kid's grew up and moved away, my dogs, birds, and paintings occupy my life.

I am also a quilter, but even that has taken a back seat to painting.

If I am not learning, I am not happy. And I have been amazed how much more I have learned about myself with this passion. I have always been a nature lover, but never dreamed it would become such an obsession.

I spend a lot of time viewing everyone's photos, especially contacts and the groups I have joined. I am not real outgoing by nature, but I will try to do my best to comment now & then. Even if I don't comment often, I am here appreciating. If I see a photo that I would like to paint, I will ask permission to use it and if that permission is granted, I will post my painting on Flickr with the proper acknowledgments.

I still use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. It takes awesome shots.

I have a new Canon 7D. Now using a Canon 100-400 mm lens, and Canon 24-105mm lens. I am hoping to get better bird and wildlife shots now that I am all decked out.

I have other photos at Web Shots, but since I never purchase "Pro" accounts, I don't put all of my photos online.
