Hello my name is Debbie and I am fairly new to flickr and my camera. I love nature, landscapes, flowers, animal photos and while these are my favorites I do appreciate any well taken photo. I hope you enjoy my photo I would appreciate comments I believe they help me to learn what to take pictures of and how they look the best. I have posted the following on my profile page as I have received emails from unknown users on flickr accusing me of horrendous deeds. I would advise you to do the same. At least it will notify the offended parties that the problem is with THEIR computer and surfing habits AND will advise them what to do.

The people who blocked you did not block you themselves, or even send the mail to you. It was their account, not yours that was hacked - the hackers steal their ID and password, access their account and then send abusive emails using their Flickrmail which are aimed at making the recipient feel that it is they that have been hacked when actually they haven't. The hackers then block you from responding - the genuine owner of the account has no control over this.

This happened to me last week - when I finally gained control of my account back I was able to mail some of the people who had received abusive Flickrmail 'from me' (the ones that hadn't blocked me in return at least)

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the ones that have blocked you unless you contact them via another account to explain what happened.

Please make sure that you all have your computers protected against Phishing and make sure that when you log in you are on a genuine Flickr/yahoo log in page not a hoax (that was how my ID was stolen) You can check by looking at the script on the bottom left of your screen when you click on a link - if it doesn't tally with the link you are after then do not enter any personal details!!)
