"I am one of the searchers. There are, I believe, millions of us. We are not unhappy, but neither are we really content. We continue to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. We continue to explore ourselves, hoping to understand. We like to walk along the beach, we are drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. We like forests and mountains, deserts and hidden rivers, and the lonely cities as well. Our sadness is as much a part of our lives as is our laughter. To share our sadness with one we love is perhaps as great a joy as we can know - unless it be to share our laughter.

We searchers are ambitious only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all we love and want to be loved. We want to live in a relationship that will not impede our wandering, nor prevent our search, nor lock us in prison walls; that will take us for what little we have to give. We do not want to prove ourselves to another or compete for love.

For wanderers, dreamers, and lovers, for lonely men and women who dare to ask of life everything good and beautiful. It is for those who are too gentle to live among wolves." <3

“To chart a course, one must have a direction. In reality, the eye is no better than the philosophy behind it. The photographer creates, evolves a better, more selective, more acute seeing eye by looking ever more sharply at what is going on in the world. Like every other means of expression, photography, if it is to be utterly honest and direct, should be related to the life of the times – the pulse of today. The photograph may be presented as finely and artistically as you will; but to merit serious consideration, must be directly connected with the world we live in.” ~ Berenice Abbott

Etching life
in its purest form
on a public canvas;
Telling my stories
with captured moments;
images in time.
Time, both eternal
yet heartbreakingly transient.
Limited exposure
of the world,
seen through my eyes.
This is My life,
at any given moment.

~ Deborah Ebbeling

I photograph to experiment. I photograph to relax. Because I want my family and friends to remember the small moments, right along with the big ones. Because there's so much beauty in the world and I feel like I have to capture it before it's gone. Because I can't write to save my life, so I write with my images. Because I don't ever want to forget these precious gifts we're all given.

    Dan Ballard Photography says:

    "Some people are born artists. They see and feel the world in a different way. They are the writer's, the poets, the musicians, the painters, the dreamers. It is when they open there souls and share with us what they feel that we lucky onlookers get the chance to see truth.

    It is easy to see that Deb is an artist. A feeler of the worlds pains, and joys. A good photograph, like a great novel, must relate the authors feelings though the work. If you spend time looking at Debs photography, you can feel those feelings and her understanding of the worlds emotions coming though.

    Thank your for putting yourself out in the open and sharing yourself with us through your photography, digital art, favorite quotes, poems and captions.

    Keep up the great work!!!

    Dan Ballard"

    PicArt by Mike says:

    "I only know Deb thru Flickr, but she is one of the people here I would really love to meet in person... her photos tell me she seems to have such a wonderful balance in her life, family, friends, interests and an eye for beauty.... wherever it is to be found.

    Looking thru her photostream there is sadness and joy, laughter and tears. There are many beautiful captures and what were obviously some wonderful moments.

    Deb is also so supportive here of others, she many times sees and leaves comments on my work that show me she sees in it what I did.

    Deb is a wonderful Flickr member who I am proud to have met."
