I am divorced... I enjoy dining out, going to a movie, or just sitting, talking, and listening to the one I am with. I have learned to be spontanious and outgoing when the time is right yet quite and subdued at other times. I enjoy the winter and snow but prefer the summer with shorts and swimsuits; sun, sand, and surf, when possible...

My life has had its peaks and valleys but I have faith that God will carry me though the rough times.

Do not judge the journey, by the path you are now on. Like driving cross-country, you can't possibly know in advance if or where you may encounter detours, hairpin turns, or passing cars passing cars with noses and whatnot pressed to the window. Moreover, little, if any, of the scenery you travel through will remotely resemble the destination you have in mind. Yet neither the "constellations" you see nor the unexpected maneuvers you take will ever mean you aren't headed exactly where you want to go, moving as swiftly as possible, getting closer every day. Road trip!

TROUBLE: Everyone has some adversity. Everybody has a battle in their lives, and some are more traumatic or obvious than others. Anger can always be justified, but then, so can forgiveness. You don't necessarily have to win. You have to endure. You must trust life, as it will teach us, in joy and sorrow, all that we need to know. It depends on what you want for the future... 'As you mature, you realize it's better to find someone who's got your back than someone who turns your head.' 'There comes a time in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason they didn't make it to your future.' I am an active elder/member of my church; First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Check out etownpres.org

People who understand that we all make mistakes and we should forgive them as God forgives us. We must love our fellow man not because God commands it, but out of respect for His human dignity. Love binds people together; and people should live their life the way God wants us to and not always the way we want to, but we must be ourself. That is what people want after they have manifested us into their lives. We know Faith, Hope and Love, but the greatest of these is LOVE. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.

The line between discernment and judgment is very thin. We sometimes get to the point to where we've experienced so many negative encounters, heard so many lies, seen so much pointless destruction, and confronted so much anger, hurt, abuse, and deception, that we start to see everyone and every situation through the same jaded lens. But sometimes people do tell the truth, and sometimes people do survive; sometimes people really do change for the better, and sometimes even in the worst of situations, people prove that they do still have a heart, after all. I was reminded of these things after reading the following tale, which was forwarded to me by a friend. May God bless you all with an exceptionally beautiful day.

Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?

They blink together, they move together, they cry together, they see things together and they sleep together, BUT THEY NEVER SEE EACH OTHER... that's what friendship is. Your aspiration is your motivation, your motivation is your belief, your belief is your peace, your peace is your target, your target is heaven, and life isn't life without FRIENDS.

Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly, and Leave the Rest to God.

Some of the things that I enjoy doing for hobbies are swimming, cross-stitching, ceramics, reading, movies, traveling, and walks with friends and my dog. When I listen to music I enjoy classic country, soft rock, oldies, gospel/religious. When it comes to movies I like action/adventure, comedies, animated/cartoons, most Disney, only thing I don't watch is horror. When I do watch tv I like NCIS, House, CSI, CSI NY, CSI Miami, Survivor, Law and Order SVU, Criminal Minds, Without A Trace, The Bachelor, Desperate House Wives, and Brothers and Sisters. Watching Pro Football -- especially the Packers!!! and Nascar. When reading I like to read my Bible, some romance, biographies, depending on the person, action/adventure, devotionals that help you to better your life, and books that are informative on psychological problems to learn why people act the way they do.

When I depend on someone, I always look to God, He is always there and has carried me through the rough times in my life... The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering"

If we remember that "The will of God will never take us, where the Grace of God will not protect us" we will make it though anything.

One story that I came across and is so true: AT THE GRAND CANYON, the guide was a student who attended college in a large city. We was asked him what he felt was the greatest change in going from rural to urban living. "In the city," he said, "you can only see from horizon to horizon what man has made." Then he looked out over the awe-inspiring splendor of the canyon. "Here," he concluded softly, "you can see from horizon to horizon what God has made." Enjoy the beauty that he brings into your life... Everyday!
