I've retired a Nikon D70 and am enjoying the expanded capabilities of the D90. Either a Nikkor 85mm f/ 1.8, a Nikkor 18-105 DX VR kit lens, or a Nikkor 12-24 mm f/4 DX is attached. I do post prosessing in Photoshop CS4. I have been shooting almost exclusively with available light. but recently acquired a SB600 Speedlight and a softbox. I'm having a great time learning about Nikon's CLS and experiementing with off camera flash.

Photography is a hobby and a passion for me. Digital capture has reignited my love for taking photos, and Flickr has allowed me to learn and share like never before. I am thankful for being able to see through the eyes of so many talented Flickr friends. Shooting pictures never gets old while I'm connected to this creative community.

An observant friend has suggested that my resurgent interest in making images has to do with my age. My wife and I have one child "out of the nest" and two others rapidly approaching behind him. The suggestion is that I'm trying to capture time or "hold the moment," so to speak, by getting photos before my children get any older. If photography helps me with some kind of emotional/spiritual healing, then so be it. It's just one more bonus on top of being an enjoyable pursuit!
