"El trabajo del fotógrafo no es el de producir decoración para las paredes y hogares de otras personas. Es un verdadero viaje del descubrimiento, y creo que es una forma auténtica de vivir la vida. Es una manera de descubrir cosas, buscar cosas, experimentar cosas...y el estar en medio de una tormenta de nieve impresionante, y el esperar a que el sol salga de detrás de esas nubes y produzca ese rayo de luz...es bastante extraordinario. A veces sucede y a veces no, pero el hecho de que puedas pasear durante dos o tres horas en raquetas de nieve, y que el tiempo cambie, y que la nieve se reduzca, y que la luz salga, y que encuentres cosas, o no encuentres cosas ... es todo parte del proceso, es todo ...Creo que simplemente es una manera genuina, en cierto sentido, de ir por la vida, en lugar de tratar sólo de producir y crear fotografías. No se trata por completo de eso"

"The job of the photographer is not to produce decoration for other people's walls and homes. It's a real voyage of discovery, and I think it's an authentic way to go through life. It's a way of discovering things, finding things, experiencing things. And...to be in the middle of an amazing snowstorm, and to be waiting for the sun to come out from behind those clouds and produce this ray of light..it's quite remarkable, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't but the fact that you can wonder off for two or three hours in snowshoes, and the weather changes, and the snow comes down and the light comes out, and you are finding things or you are not finding things...it's all part of the process, it's all...is just a wonderful way, in esence, to go through life, as opposed to just try to produce and create photographs. It's not completely about that.t;
