The magic and mystery of capturing images in time is fascinating. I love vintage cameras and snapshots. I enjoy building my own cameras out of old tins or cosmetic cases and then letting them see the world through their unique eyes. I treasure what they bring me. I feel that embracing simplicity, welcoming chance, exploration, questioning and the process of really seeing is the core subject of my work and of my life.

Destiny is where you are, not where you are going...

I also teach Pinhole and Low-Tech Photography workshops. They can be 2 or 3 day weekend workshops and some run week-long. They are great opportunities for adults and teens to build their own cameras, shoot, learn darkroom and/or computer techniques and to freely create photographs without being limited by the need for control of outcome.

Please get in touch with me if you are an Art Center looking for instructors or if you know of a location in your area that would be a great place to offer a workshop or class.
For Pinhole Photography workshops a darkroom is required. Alternative Vision: Exploring Low-Tech Photography can be run without a darkroom. I am open
to locations in the US and abroad.
