David was always a "Visual Artist" even in his youth. He mostly enjoyed drawing and capturing time through his still art. He enjoyed taking pictures even as a child with his little 35 mil camera: the way that the light capture the moment fascinated him. But first he stopped taking pictures and became involved in video production through the non-linear world of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Production. He quickly learned storyboarding, set up, set design, camcorder operation (color, contrast, exposure, sound, shutter speeds, apertures, etc), studio and field sound, lighting, directing, editing (colors, contrast, exposure, etc) tape to drive-drive to tape, credits, DVD authoring). Great times!-- He still loves it.

During his time in the videography realm, he began to get requests from clients for photography and soon found that it would be an great asset to learn still photography. It became clear that this was a great fit since he had already honed his skills for having a good eye for true color, contrast, exposure, composition, shutter speeds and apertures. So fast forward... he then decided to go out and buy a pro Nikon, read the manual, took some classes, and decided... "yea... this is it! I found what I was looking for! Photography!

Furthermore, and the most important is that he has found photography to be much more exciting to meet so many cool people on his journey. He found that just about everyone loves pictures and many people cherish great ones. So now he is into restoring memories for people through the visual art of photography. "Memories | | Restored" is one of his slogans used on moments captured through his lens.

David E. Gordon holds a B.A. in Psychology and is a Certified IT Technician through CompTIA. He has worked in the educational school systems of St. Paul and Minneapolis public schools. He has also managed a team of employees for a major nationwide cable company working in their IP Support department troubleshooting Internet, Phone, and Cable services.
