A SHORT BIO

I am a professional photographer based in the beautiful city of Victoria on the west coast of Canada. Having spent the last decade in the U.K., I have worked extensively providing publicity imagery for theatre and production companies based in Oxford, Birmingham and London.

In my past life I completed a graduate degree in archaeology at Oxford University and worked as a professional archaeologist. My archaeological fieldwork has uniquely prepared me for working as part of a team often in difficult conditions and in remote locations. I understand the tensions that can emerge during location shooting when under strict deadlines and budgets, and it is in this atmosphere that I feel I am at my best. In addition, having worked on several commercial shoots, I am also familiar with etiquette on a film set. A successful shoot is one where I can capture my best images while going unnoticed by the cast and the rest of the crew.

I am a dual Canadian and UK (EU) citizen, and I am not currently a member of the IATSE film union. I am also a freelance photographer for Monday Magazine, a long-running publication covering the arts and cultural scene in Victoria.
